Hurricane Relief Efforts

Dear Celina Jr. High School Families,

I have been working with several school districts in South East Texas that have suffered damage from the flooding. We have a identified and have a connection with Hamshire/Fannett ISD that are in need of help. I have visited with the Superintendent and discussed the needs for their district.

We are going to adopt the Hamshire/Fannett Jr. High School.   The school had over 3" of water in their building.  Fannett is a small rural town just West of Beaumont, about the size of Gunter (if not smaller) and filled with hard-working, generous, faithful, small-town Texans.  Many do not and will not have the resources to recover as quickly and easily as other parts of the larger Houston area.

Our goal is to fill a trailer full of school supplies and school clothes for 6th-8th grade students.  We will deliver the trailer to the school principal hopefully on September 13-15.  We will work with the campus principal Mr. Cobb and use google classroom to build an educational relationship with this campus and these young students that are in need of our assistance.  Please see list below of the supplies needed.

Thank you,

Russell McDaniel
